Hello I tried creating ISO build, but when it created it, it created a Archive Rar file instead. Wondering why it created that instead of a general iso file? Is there anyway to change that so i can burn the image?

INTERESTING...

In explorer choose TOOLS\FOLDER OPTIONS\VIEW & uncheck "hide know file extentions.

If you have winrar installed it sets the ISO filetype to open with winrar, which would make it apear as a RAR file.

That's pretty weird. I have NEVER heard or seen this happen. I'm puzzled, what did you do????
Also what hilander said, yeah file associations will make it look like a RAR if you have WinRAR setup to be associated with ISO files.

I check the folder options and they are how they should be. Its showing the file as a winrar archive. I followed it step by step. Did again same results.

What's the actual file extension on the file? Is it .iso or is it .rar? If it's .rar, something is terribly screwed up and I don't even see how that's possible. If it's .iso, then you just have WinRAR associated with .iso files as WinRAR can open them. I would just use a burning program and burn the .iso as an image. smile.gif

Please read what hilander999 wrote in the first reply as this is exactly what has happened and nothing is wrong.

Ummm.... then obviously it's an ISO... hence the .iso extension... just burn it as an image to a CD and you'll be fine... yea. smile.gif
