When I run Bart's PE to build the ISO file, I receive a few error messages, and the ISO file is never created. I have followed all the instructions and I've tried it at least 5 times. I've included a copy of all of the error messages received during the build.



Error: loadKey failed:
Error: closeHive failed: RegUnLoadKey (key="PEBuilder.exe-C:/pebuilder313/petmphive") returned error 0: Access is denied.
Error: DeleteFile() "C:\pebuilder313\petmphive" failed.
Error: DeleteFile() "C:\pebuilder313\petmphive.log" failed.
Error: DeleteFile() "C:\pebuilder313\setuphiv" failed.
Error: DeleteFile() "C:\pebuilder313\setuphiv.log" failed.
Builder has stopped because there are 4 build errors
ISO image is not created, you must fix the errors!


Any ideas on how to fix these errors?

Do you have admin rights? Are you using a Dell XP CD to do the build? Did you copy the XP CD to your HD first? Any more information would be helpful. Thanks.

I've ran into this before and restarting the computer has always worked for me.

I'm building the file on my dell laptop and I do have all admin rights. I am also using a dell xp cd which I did copy to a file on my hard drive.

You probably need to use the fixdell script and whatnot. More information (the fix) can be found HERE.
