You really don't know what you're missing! It should be on this UBCD.
I use it all the time, in safemode too.
Yes, this is from the guy behind the SONY CD rootkit discovery.

Thanks for an already great CD, but is http://winmtr.sourceforge.net/ already on it ?
And the alpha of http://www.egner-online.de/vc/en/downloads.shtml ?
And http://www.clamwin.com/ instead of the other AVs?
And http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download to burn images to DVD/CD ?

I agree, Mark is a top notch programmer and anything I've ever seen him code can only be described as "Excellent" but this is from the autorun README.TXT

You may not use the source to Autoruns, or distribute AutoRuns in any form,
without express written permission of Mark Russinovich or Bryce Cogswell.

We've contacted SysInternals in the past and requested permission to include some of thier freeware tools in UBCD4WIN but they said no. thumbdown.gif

Well it's their funeral, I mean, we will then just add it to the CD ourselves, right? boxing.gif
You can tell them I wrote that. What a bunch of idiots, causing us all to be annoyed by having to make the same customizations for each release of this CD. As of now Sysinternals sucks.

Sysinternals does not suck. They make great software and freeware and they are fully entitled to restrict its distribution in any way that they see fit.

Just because you resent this legitimate choice, does not entitle you to be rude about them. GROW UP meow!

Even if you were as good a programmer as the guys from Sysinternals, this in itself would not entitle you to make offensive remarks about them or any other programmers.

We as a community need freeware authors to continue programming and we must be mature enough to respect their decisions, even if we don't necessarily agree with or understand them.

<div> This utility, which has the most comprehensive knowledge of auto-starting locations of any startup monitor (A starting list of auto-run locations was obtained from David Solomon's "Windows Internals" seminar), shows you what programs are configured to run during system bootup or login, and shows you the entries in the order Windows processes them. These programs include ones in your startup folder, Run, RunOnce, and other Registry keys. You can configure Autoruns to show other locations, including Explorer shell extensions, toolbars, browser helper objects, Winlogon notifications, auto-start services, and much more. Autoruns goes way beyond the MSConfig utility bundled with Windows Me and XP.

Autoruns' Hide Signed Microsoft Entries option helps you to zoom in on third-party auto-starting images that have been added to your system and it has support for looking at the auto-starting images configured for other accounts configured on a system. Also included in the download package is a command-line equivalent that can output in CSV format, Autorunsc.

You'll probably be surprised at how many executables are launched automatically!

Autoruns works on all versions of Windows including Windows XP 64-bit Edition (for x64) and Windows Server 2003 64-bit Edition (for x64).</div>
