Perhaps harddisc diagnostic toosl from western digital, seagate, maxtor etc can be addad.

I know atleast WD has a tool called Data lifeguard that runs under widows.

Yes, the "Windows based" Western Digital tool is included in the project. It's called WinDLG. There are ones from Seagate and Maxtor also. The Maxtor tool was included in previous versions of the project, but never worked....so I eventually had to give up and pull it from the project. I am in the process of creating new plugins for Maxtor and the Seagate tools soon, hopefully in time for the release of 3.0.

One more stellar one to add (if possible)would be the IBM/Hitachi drive fitness test. It's dos based but could still work.

The next version of ubcd4win will include an easy to setup multi-boot option for the original dos version of ultimatebootcd that has ALL of the availble OEM hd setup & diag tools included.

The two projects work together seemlessly so we will be including a way to have both on the same cd with almost no effort on behalf of the user.

BCDW is used for the boot menu & any of these floppy images can be added for anyone that does not want the full ubcd4dos added to the build.
