Hi there!

I'm playing with UBCD4Win & Bart PE and I must admit that I'm having a lot of fun!
Here's a small plugin for a huge program: Open Office 2.0..... excl.gif167 Mb excl.gif
I know, it's huge but I had some space left on my DVD (I don't use cd's anymore) so why not adding some "useless" geek-stuff on my rescue disk? smile.gif
The plugin seems to work like a charm but I must say that I did not test it long enough to be really sure that it doesn't contain any bugs....

You can download the portable version of Open Office here:

http://portableapps.com/apps/office/suites...able_openoffice

Create a plugin folder "OpenOffice" and put the downloaded and unzipped folder in it and rename it to "files".
Now add the inf-file and the XML-file and you're done!

1. Open "notepad" or similar "generic" text editor.
2. Copy this below and paste it to your editor.
CODE
; OpenOffice.inf
; PE Builder v3 plug-in INF file for Portable OpenOffice 2.0

[Version]
Signature= "$Windows NT$"

[PEBuilder]
Name="Open Office"
Enable=1

[WinntDirectories]
a="Programs\OpenOffice",2

[SourceDisksFolders]
files=a

[Append]
nu2menu.xml, OpenOffice_nu2menu.xml

3. Save the file and name it openoffice.inf
4. Select to create a new file in your editor.
5. Copy this below and paste it to your editor:
CODE
<!-- Nu2Menu entry for Open Office 2.0 -->
<NU2MENU>
<MENU ID="Office">
<MITEM TYPE="ITEM" DISABLED="@Not(@FileExists(@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\OpenOffice\PortableOpenOfficeWriter.exe))" CMD="RUN" FUNC="@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\OpenOffice\PortableOpenOfficeWriter.exe">Open Office Writer</MITEM>
<MITEM TYPE="ITEM" DISABLED="@Not(@FileExists(@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\OpenOffice\PortableOpenOfficeDraw.exe))" CMD="RUN" FUNC="@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\OpenOffice\PortableOpenOfficeDraw.exe">Open Office Draw</MITEM>
<MITEM TYPE="ITEM" DISABLED="@Not(@FileExists(@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\OpenOffice\PortableOpenOfficeImpress.exe))" CMD="RUN" FUNC="@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\OpenOffice\PortableOpenOfficeImpress.exe">Open Office Impression</MITEM>
<MITEM TYPE="ITEM" DISABLED="@Not(@FileExists(@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\OpenOffice\PortableOpenOfficeBase.exe))" CMD="RUN" FUNC="@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\OpenOffice\PortableOpenOfficeBase.exe">Open Office Base</MITEM>
<MITEM TYPE="ITEM" DISABLED="@Not(@FileExists(@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\OpenOffice\PortableOpenOfficeCalc.exe))" CMD="RUN" FUNC="@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\OpenOffice\PortableOpenOfficeCalc.exe">Open Office Calc</MITEM>
<MITEM TYPE="ITEM" DISABLED="@Not(@FileExists(@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\OpenOffice\PortableOpenOfficeMath.exe))" CMD="RUN" FUNC="@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\OpenOffice\PortableOpenOfficeMath.exe">Open Office Math</MITEM>
</MENU>
</NU2MENU>

6. Save the file and name it openoffice_nu2menu.xml
7. Now you just have to figure out where to put the files.

BTW- that post is close to 1 1/2 years old, so I don't know if this plugin will still work. I don't use or like open office, so my support here is done. If you need more help, feel free to post and hopefully someone will be able to assist you.
