Hello guys... I built a cd using the latest version of the project UBCD4WINV30, but the pppoe support doesn't work, does someone know how to fix it?

I don't have a PPPoE account to test with but I do know that the others that may be able to help are not PSYCHIC and you will need to provide some info to go on... just saying it doesn't work is not enough.

What network driver [s] are you using?
Do the other networking features work?
What did you do exactly to enable it?
What other tests have you already done so they won't suggest those to you and waste yours and their time?
What version of Windows are you using?
What if any errors do you get?

In UBCD4WINV26 pppoe works fine!!! my network card is VIA and my lan works great in UBCD4WINV30, pppoe services starts with no errors messages but when I create a dial up connection, it doesn't connect... Sorry!! My English is terrible!!!

I would like that someone tested pppoe connections...

Haa... I am building my UBCD4WINV30 with XP Pro SP2...

me too. The pppoe worked perfectly in 2.x, not working in 3.0. Is there any change regarding the pppoe in 3.0?

I can't answer this one. This was integrated into the "core" of the project, so I think hilander needs to do some digging. Hopefully we can figure out what needs to be changed soon. I also hope that some of you asking about it will be around/able to test changes for us. So we can confirm if and when our changes fix it.

Looks like it definitly has something to do with the missing snetcfg.exe. Here is the message I captured from the cmd window when I start the PPPOE service (System->Network->PPPOE dialup->start PPPOE service):

X:\I386\System32>snetcfg -l X:\I386\inf\netrast.inf -c p -i MS_PPPOE
'snetcfg' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

X:\I386\System32>snetcfg -l X:\I386\inf\netrast.inf -c p -i MS_NDISWAN
'snetcfg' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

X:\I386\System32>snetcfg -l X:\I386\inf\netrass.inf -c s -i MS_RASMAN
'snetcfg' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

X:\I386\System32>net start rasman
The Remote Access Connection Manager service is starting...
The Remote Access Connection Manager service was started successfully.

X:\I386\System32>pause
Press any key to continue . . .
