Why are you not using an anti-virus program???? bash.gif

Try www.avast.com & get the free version of !AVAST4HOME. It works really good for me & updates itself automattically.

The MD5 hash is a method to verify if your download was corrupted or tampered with. Using some equations it calculates a number from the file that will be unique.... the hash is posted on the download page here http://www.ubcd4win.com/downloads.htm as is one of many programs that can be used to calculate it with ( scroll to the bottom of the page to find it ). After you install the program to check the hash with... just have it check your download and then compare it against what was posted on the site... if its the same... the download was good... if not you should re-download it again.

Yea, it's almost suicide these days to not have a proper anti-virus, anti-spyware, and firewall installed on your system, especially if you have broadband. I'd highly suggest looking at least for free alternatives if you can't afford commercial software. Other than that, checking the MD5 hash is the first step so we can know if the file was tampered with or not. smile.gif
