I've got a problem with the RAM Disk setting itself to only 2MB on every boot on a bunch of different machines. What can I do to get a defualt of 32MB for it? I've removed GeoShell and the Pre-Shell options because I didn't need them, I don't know if that makes a difference.

Errr.. Geoshell and Pre-Shell are more or less required as far as I know, or you'll run into some fun problems. Pre-Shell is also what sets the RAMDrive accordingly. Why did you remove those and is that all you removed? smile.gif

There should be a way to still configure the RAM disk -- after all, this project comes frm BartPE, where does BartPE size the RamDisk?. I need to make a very specific version of this CD, and the extra shell functions simply are not needed.

PreShell starts with an initial 2MB RamDisk. It then resizes it according to what "profile" you select when PreShell starts up. I belive the default size is either 32 or 64 MB. This was done intentionally incase the project is booted on a system with a small amount of memory.

If you started messing with things, you could have accidentally changed the default. Like I said above, the project by default starts with either 32 or 64MB.

Check your PreShell INI file to see what the default is, you can change many settings in that file.

Also at boot time you can change that setting. Click the box labeled "expert mode." You will see ALL changeable settings there!

He has removed preshell completely. randisk.inf is set to 2mb for compatability with older systems.

Ooops I missed that. Half of the reason why we added PreShell was for slower systems??? Oh well, we try to make it easier.
