I have a xp pro sp1a that came with my Dell PC .Tried to stream with sp2 but I get an error that "This service pack cannot be integrated into a destination that also has Software Updates".
Is there a workaround for this?
By the way my installed xp pro was updated using sp2 file without any problem

Any computer manufacturer XP CD like Dell or Gateway are different than the "standard" Microsoft one and usually either have added stuff or stuff taken off so it will not work correctly. You are going to need to find a "regular" XP CD and slipstream with that one. At least, I'm pretty sure that's why...

There may be a workaround but I don't know it.

Is it a recovery CD you are trying to slipstream into?
You should have a I386 folder on your hdd, try pointing autostreamer @ C:\ it should hopefully find the files. I tested this out on a Dell at work and worked.
I don't think you can use a recovery winxp cd.

The CD says "For Distribution with New PC Only".Is this a recovery cd? I don't really know.
I tried the win xp cd for my share according to autostreamer. That went without any error. However when I inspected the files on the iso that was created,I don't think they were updated as most have 2003 as the year instead of 2004 like the ones on my windows folder.
Maybe I can't really use this Dell cd.

I doubt any of the files would say 2004 as XP came out in 2001 and SP1 came out in.. what... 2002 or 2003? So I don't think that's a problem. If you can test the ISO, you know, burn it and test the CD, then see if there's a problem or not and then get back to us.

The files in sp2 are marked 2004 I checked it when I did a manual slipstream-you know extracting those files to hd.
No I did not test the iso -I need a test pc for that-perhaps later I will. Right now I am having problems with my windows xp .Seems the mouse moves by itself after I updated to sp2=maybe I'll remove sp2.

Yea... that seems strange. I hope you don't have a virus or anything. I haven't had any problems with SP2 yet. And sorry about my previous post... I wasn't thinking that you were trying to slipstream SP2 as well. Try slipstreaming SP2 into the original XP CD and not over XP SP1.

I don't think it's a virus.
See my thread here as I had same problem and got this relpy at the
nforcers forumIt's either a driver problem or your mouse is faulty.
I downloaded latest drivers and updated the bios. It's not completely sorted but it's happening far less frequently.

Mouse problem seems to have disappeared,so far anyway. It is not a mouse problem as it does not occur while using wubcd or linux.
anyway,thanks to evryone who replied.

If it doesn't happen with linux or wubcd, it would suggest to me it's a driver problem.

Yeah thanks, I was talking to Raptor this morning actually. Haven't had the chance to add a download link for the new version to the site yet. Hopefully by this afternoon.
He has added quite a bit of new features and it is much more compatible with other languages, etc. than in the past. I don't think we should have any issues with this now, seems like it is almost complete. Maybe a few extra features will be added but I think most of the compatibility issues are over!!
