Intel has partnered with the Orwellian-sounding Omnicom Media Group to bring you, the beloved consumer, yet more ads—and this time, they're interactive!
The partnership will develop advertising templates for interactive ads shown on TVs connected to Viiv PCs. The templates will be formatted to take advantage of the "10 foot" TV environment, rather than smaller computer monitors. Unlike traditional television ads (which are already formatted for the 10 foot environment, of course), the new ads will be interactive and apparently will function more like web pages or Flash applets than like traditional static advertising.
The system will also allow the advertising to be more narrowly targeted at consumers by only displaying ads that are relevant to the type of material currently being watched.

Just what the world needs more ads......
Perhaps they could link into the radio transmitter chips being put into the next generation DVDs, so while your watching your DVD you could have ad breaks put in generating the poor studios even more money to pay there a execs a salary they can live on and have about 4/5 houses instead of the 2/3 they probably have now.
