Hello all,
I added a plugin to can view the logs, using the information from http://www.911cd.net/forums//index.php?sho...28&hl=event .
It works, but I can't add it to the start-program menu.
I changed the ini PEBuilder section to:
[PEBuilder]
Name="SystemInfo: EventLogExplorer"
Enable=1
But it not appears, should I change anything more in other section?
Thanks

Just to clarify...
All the menu entries you want to appear in the menu, is controlled by the plugin_nu2menu.xml files.
Once you have built the iso, (and before burning, go to the BartPE\PROGRAMS\nu2menu and double click on the nu2menu.exe (if you build often, make a shortcut to it on the desktop) and you can quickly find out if the entry is there in the menu.

Thanks, I missed the change on the xml file.
In what step I should change the file?
Editing the plugin_nu2menu.xml in the iso?
Because when I create the cd it do all, and make the iso, so I can change it before the iso is made?

As rdsok already said:
Please post the content of your
EventLogExplorer.inf
and the EventLogExplorer_nu2menu.xml here
then someone can have a look at them.
It is not enough to enable the plugin to make it work, the content of the .inf and the .xml entries must be correct as well.
You make all changes before you build the iso. Once you have built it you can find the entire menu in the BartPE\programs\nu2menu folder (nu2menu.xml)
If you then have to make any changes to the menu you can do it by editing the nu2menu.xml and then you rebuild the iso by running the autobuild.cmd
Do not forget to make the same changes to the plugin_nu2menu.xml or you will be forced to do the changes after each build.

You need to make two changes... one to the INF file so that the XML file will get appended to NU2_MENU's XML
add this to the end of your INF ... note that the XML should be named "eventlogexplorer_nu2menu.xml" in this example but you could shorten it to just "eventlogexplorer.xml" if you change the line I made but the naming convention we use is to also state what the XML is for, hence the "_nu2menu" part that I appended.
CODE
[Append]
nu2menu.xml, eventlogexplorer_nu2menu.xml
Now for the XML... I've placed it into the Info and Diag Tools submenu and here is the correction for that.
CODE
<!-- Nu2Menu entry for Even Log Viewer -->
<NU2MENU>
<MENU ID="Programs">
<MITEM TYPE="POPUP" MENUID="System Information">System Information</MITEM>
</MENU>
<MENU ID="System Information">
<MITEM TYPE="POPUP" MENUID="Info.">Info. and Diag. Tools</MITEM>
</MENU>
<MENU ID="Info.">
<MITEM TYPE="ITEM" DISABLED="@Not(@FileExists(@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\EventLogExplorer\elex.exe))" CMD="RUN" FUNC="@GetProgramDrive()\Programs\EventLogExplorer\elex.exe">Event Log Viewer</MITEM>
</MENU>
</NU2MENU>

Thanks rdsok,
now it works fine.
So the only thing I needed before was the [append] section on the inf file, as I can see.
At the moment the programs works, but doesn't open the log files at the start, you should go to the files and open it manually.
It's a good program to have on the cd, very useful.
If I can do that it open the log files from the xp installation of the harddisk.
I will post here, in the case anyone wants to add to his cd.
Thanks again.
