Has anyone experienced any problems recording the Autostreamed .iso to a cd? I have used AutoStreamer on two different PC's, both have SP2 installed. After creating the image file, I select "copy image to cd" (using ISO Recorder) from the drop-down menu. After about 3 minutes, the CD Recording wizard window opens, but the CD recorder box is empty, and I am not able to select or input my drive!
This has happened on both of my PC's, a desktop and my laptop!

I have had this problem with my computer and my wife's. It's weird and I haven't really been able to figure out the issue with it. I've also had issues with some CD Burning software creating bad CD's or sending errors in the middle of burning them. That was half the reason why I did my clean install about a month ago, so I could actually use my DVD burner. I think it's an issue with the ISO burner "powertoy". I have not installed it on my SP2 system yet because I think that software may be the issue. My wife is still experiencing what you have described ocassionally. I usually reboot her system and it works, but recently even that hasn't worked. Since my computer has been able to burn CD's now I really haven't tried on my wife's computer.

Yea, more or less, ISO Recorder is a piece of crap and I doubt it works right with SP2 yet (since it wasn't designed for it). I'd suggest using a real burning program like Nero, or use the free one that is available for download off of the main Downloads page. smile.gif

Well my issues started in SP1, it worked for a while but now just doesn't want to work properly. I haven't tried installing it on my SP2 Main system, don't want to mess it up. I think I'm going to remove references about it from the site. I don't think it's a great suggestion anymore. CDBurnerXP Pro is much better!! It was a nice, easy way to burn the ISO but I don't have faith that it works properly anymore.

cool.gif As I recall, ISO Recorder is available on the Microsoft site. I have always used it with success-until now. I contacted M$ SP2 support, and they escalated the problem. After this little episode, I installed Nero on my laptop-it ran until it stalled at about 75% complete whilst burning the ISO. But, I closed it out and have what appears to be a working XP CD!

I've never had any problems with Nero, but I'm glad it's working for you. smile.gif

Never even heard of ISO recorder.

Nero is the best cdburning software there is period.

As for burning ISO's files for free Deepburner, CDBurnerXP and smallCDwriter will all give good results.

I went to the M$ site amd found the link for ISO Recorder. Seems that it won't work with SP2, so if anyone is interested there is an ISO recorder V2 available here:
