I use keepass and the data has been stored on floppy.
The write tab is usually disabled, but I made a few recent changes and had to enable.....
The changes were saved within keepass to the floppy.....afterwards I couldn't access the disk and the dreaded "A:/ is not formatted" message popped up. This "floppy" failure has happened more than a few times in the past with other apps, so I don't think keepass is to blame. The last time this happened I managed to find a backup.
There are several commercial/shareware floppy repair utilities, but I wanted a free app.
Out of the blue, I considered opening xplorer². The app immediately read the floppy and the files were easily copied to a temp folder on my HDD. YAY!!!!!
It's nice to know that using a different explorer allowed access instantaneously and let me get my stuff back.
I hate floppies...
