Just a crazy idea....

I was wondering about installing UBCD4WIN to my HD with peinst, installing sound and video drivers and some other stuff (is this possible?) and make/burn a new iso from the PE partition on the HD....
Was thinking about using InstallRite to monitor/export changes made in the registry but I don't understand how to add this to the iso... wacko.gif

I *Really must* find a way to add multimedia/graphics drivers to UBCD4Win or my project will be dead soon... mad.gif
Why is it so hard to create a Knoppix-like CD/DVD with a BartPE system that recognizes most hardware automagically ?!?
I'm trying to add the bts driverpacks to UBCD4Win to turn it in a multimedia DVD but this seems impossible.
Maybe I should throw away all Windows software, put a curse on MS and start using Linux? wall.gif

We actually have been working on a new way to add the BTS driver packs with BTS himself, one that would be very easy. But progress has been very slow and I'm not sure when such a format will be completed. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. sad.gif

biggrin.gifWow! This is great news!
Do you need helping hands for this project?

Do you think adding driverpacks to UBCD4Win will be possible before march 2007 (the deadline to finish my multimedia DVD) or should I better try to create a linux-based live CD?
I've got tons of really cool Windows freeware and it would be sad to use Linux + emulation (Wine?) to run them... glare.gif

My approach to add drivers (install to HD, do some moding, burn ISO) could be worth a try?
