I've had some issues using Joshua's pre-shell, and wanted to know if they are known errors, or possibly due to a plugin conflict or something like that..

but my issues are:

1) changing this in the ini file:
ProfileSetResolutionEnable1=true
ProfileResolutionX1=1024
ProfileResolutionY1=768
ProfileResolutionBitsPerPixel1=32

still loads the cd in 800x600.. It seems that unless I change the thing manually, it won't change at all.

ProfileStartNetwork1=false
ProfileUsePenetcfg1=false

Seems to bring up PEnetcfg anyway.

In fact, PENetCfg always seems to come up when the network starts... despite the fact it is unecessary.

How do I stop the redundant network configuration menus?

Depends on where you are making the changes in your INI file.
The INI file has several "profiles" in it, so you must make your changes in the default "profile" or select that profile when loading the project. It sounds like you do not want to have to interact with the project during the boot process, so you need to make your changes to the default "profile."

Some parts of the "structure" of the INI file are a little confusing and I haven't played with the options in a while so I can't give you a really specific answer. Please let me know if this does fix your issues.

Thanks for the reply Ben.

I am modifying the first profile (which is the one I'm choosing). Most of the other options are working (like register files,start wireless, max ramdrive size). Its just the resolution and the PeNetCfg.

It seems as if the PENetCfg comes up whenever network support is started, although it is not needed. I can understand why someone might want to use one over the other, but I don't see a point in using both.

As for the resolution, the preshell setting seems ineffective..

Disable:
Network: PENETCFG (Automatically start PE Network configurator)

Did it work in PreShell Expert mode ?

I changed the style in Geoshell, rebuilt, and the setting seem to be taking effect now. It was probably something I did.. Thanks for the hand!

edit: I've disabled the PENetwork config things.. thanks!
