Well, first of all, download the latest version, version 2.1 to see if there are any extra drivers in there. Second, this CD is supposed to be a PC troubleshooting CD, not a full blown seperate OS of which you can do your daily activities on. I can understand the modem driver problem just fine, but the scanner and webcam (and maybe even printer) I'm not so sure about. It seems to me like those are moot and make no sense to have them be readily available to work with this CD. Anyway, hopefully Steeltrepid will respond and help you out or stidyup to explain how to add drivers yourself. I would, but I need to get to class.... smile.gif

Yes the project will not detect your modem. Modems are very difficult to setup in this enviroment. It is possible but I honestly haven't found good instructions or help files on creating a plugin modems. I'll check out a few sites and see what I can come up with for instructions and help on creating a plugin for modems. Can you please give us the mfgr. and model of modem? Support for modems was added in 2.1 and a plugin for one modem model, hopefully the user that provided me the plugin for their modem will read this and be able to offer some support to you.

Can u at least include the standard 33600 and 56K modems in the drivers compilation, these may solve a lot of problems with internet updates and driver downloads for crashed systems. Thanks/SAF

Regular dial-up modem drivers can't be included in the normal drivers pack as BartPE wouldn't recognize them. They would have to be added as plugins. But, we are currently testing a new way of adding MANY more drivers that actually work (including nForce, etc.) and maybe we'll be able to get some modem drivers in that way (as we have scripts to add the drivers in, not the BartPE way). smile.gif
