Ok, it's not really a plugin but it's quite handy for updating files within the build.

Credit to Svenska for the original update scripts and files.

I've modified both the updates.txt (where the sites to download from are stored & are working as of today) and the command script that unpacks them. Currently, it will get updates for Ad-Aware, Spybot, Kaspersky 6, Avira AV Personal 7 & McAfee Stinger. It'll automatically unpack them and copy them to the right directories within the pebuilder directory.

Note that the file paths in the .cmd file will possibly have to be changed depending on your own file structure.

I use it with PE Builder but I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to modify for UBCD.

As you can see, right now it's hosted on Rapidshare - if anyone like's it enough to host it on their site, let me know and we'll go from there.

HOWEVER... I've just GOT to comment on this...


I have not looked at the script in your download, but have checked out Svenska's site before (long time ago) & he was offering a set of plugins for a speciffic build (his build) where all the plugins had... "; Created by Svenska" added to the top of each .inf file and the original authors name had been removed. There was NOT 1 PLUG-IN in the entire package that was actually written by Svenska, yet he was taking credit for MY HARD WORK & the hard work of others which is simply wrong. There was no reason for him to have removed the credits from those plugins reffering the people that had taken the time to build them & share there hard work.

To this day, every time I see that name it makes my blood boil.

This is in no way a refference to YOU for posting what you did, It's just my thoughts on giving credit where credit is due.

Thanks for setting the record straight...I was going by the line at the end of the script that said "Thank You for using AutoUpdate from Svenska Computing" - I've never minded giving credit to an original author regardless of how much or how little of their work I used - too bad some don't feel the same way.

Sorry it has to be after the fact - but thanks also to Hilander999 for the work!

I want to make sure your not miss-understanding what I meant. I doubt that anything in the script you posted has any of my work in it. I also doubt that "Svenska Computing" was the original author of it either.

IF He did actually write it, then that is cool but from past experiances I must question who the REAL author was.

Just to make sure I've got the bases covered.....

The autoupdate script I've put up a link to was originally brought in from a site that showed it as being done by Svenska. It's possible that that is not the original author. I've modified it to suit my needs and anyone else is welcome to use/modify it. If anyone recognises it as their work and isn't getting credit then my apologies but I can only go by the info that's included when I download it.
