Mustang has a whole selection of plugins for various versions of TI including V10 Mustang's BartPE Plugins. I'm using one of his plugins for V9 B3677 and works very well with UBCD4WIN. A BartPE plugin has been included since V9 with the install. You have to perform a complete install to get it. Personally you will find Mustang's plugin much better because it has more capability such as the ability to mount an image.

seems that
QUOTE
files\Common Files\drivers
does not exist, because the autohelp script doesn't find anything in the installation.
So the plugin cannot be activated, missing files.

However, the plugin seems to work when you comment out the line
QUOTE
files\Common Files\Drivers\*.*=f,,1

At least a full backup and then recovery of a partition worked in my test.

Mustang's plugins assume that you have TI installed in the default location which is C:\Program Files\Acronis and C:\program Files\Common Files\Acronis. Is your installation in the default location? Also look at this post by Mustang not sure if it applies to your situation or not http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread....ght=TI10+plugin.

Sorry, english is not my native language. I try to describe it in other words. surrender.gif
I think that the getfiles.cmd is well written.

I suppose that this script would copy all the files if they would exist, but they don't do that.

Once again:
The other directories to populate "Common Files" do exist, hence the directories are created and the files are copied.
The "%CommonProgramFiles%\Acronis\Drivers" directory does not exist in the original location of my installation.
So the "files\Common Files\Drivers" directory is not created.
So no files are copied to "files\Common Files\Drivers".
So the inf has a line that points to a non existant source.
So the build goes wrong.

Are you using the latest version of Mustang's plugin? Does the UBCD4WINBUILDER report an error during the build or is the error occurring while running the Autohelp script? If the UBCD4WINBUILDER reports the error then the link I posted above directions from Mustang to correct the problem.

Acronis True Image 10 comes with a ready-made BartPE plugin already. I've used it in a recent build and it worked without issue. smile.gif

I was just grabbing UBCD4WinV306 today (I've used Bart PE previously) and was looking into adding TrueImage to it... well, I went to Acronis' site and 11 is out. Just a heads up.

PS: I'll be back if I can't manage to integrate Acronis into UBCD!

I'd hold up on TI11. I just installed the trial version and there is no BartPE plugin included. I don't think its in the registered version either.

Hmmm, will Acronis TRASH my Vista partition again though??

Only if you clone the wrong drive tongue.gifsurrender.gif

No, that was Ghost Tom!! Acronis gives you more information when compared to older versions of Ghost, although it will corrupt your Vista drives. Added emphasis on the S because Acronis corrupted the original drive also. My Ghost mistake was made because Ghost doesn't always follow the rules, I would assume that a drive hooked up to SATA port #1 would be listed above SATA port #2???? Makes too much sense though!! F'n Symantec, I don't think we can win with either tool!

Have you checked out the Pargaon Hard Disc Manager 8.5 that was listed a month or so ago? I have the Acronis TI10 that is bundled with MaxBlast for Maxtor and Seagate drives and Paragon HDM8.5 loaded and they both look very similar. I recently checked out both programs and the Paragon HDM8.5 does look a bit nicer IMO... I had a boxed version of Partition Commander 10 given to me recently and that also looks very similar to TI10 and HDM8.5... Will be checking out the different products in the next few weeks.. I have a few Ghost backups of my work system that I've had stored just in case and recently tried to restore a backup to a different drive and turns are they don't want to load.. That is with Ghost 7.7 though, so will probably just change over to using only the Acronis TI10, Paragon HDM 8.5(free from VNUnet) and VCOM Partition Commander 10 after some testing..

I recently read a review comparing TI10 and Ghost 10 and even though they both had some positives and negatives, the tech support for Ghost was very poor according to the reviewer.
