I need some help getting a product from VMware run as a plugin for my CD. It's a CD from VMware that boots into PE and runs a program called converter that converts physical machines into virtual machines that you can put onto a VMware ESX server. It works great but I was wondering if I would be able to get this to run as a plugin on my UBCD so it will always have the latest drivers and of course one CD.

I think all I will need to run is converter.exe to be able to use the program.

A quick way to test if it'll work or not would be to copy the entire E:\VMWARE-CONVERTER directory to your BartPE folder then press F5 from UBCD4WinBuilder to re-create the iso.

It works but it doesn't work. It will load converter.exe but seems to be running in a watered down mode.
Is there anyway to run a .MSI on a UBCD?

From what i am seeing on the contents..that VMWare CD is a bootable CD. Why not convert that CD into a ISO or IMG file then place it in the "IMAGES" folder inside UBCD4Win and edit the BCDW.INI file inside of the "BCDW" folder to include the VMWARE CD as an option to choose.

Now i am not sure of the total size of this VMWARE CD so you might have to end up burning the complete UBCD4WIN to a DVD but you can figure that out if the total ISO size is above 700 megabytes. But overall this should work because what i have right now is the SpinRite bootable CD as an ISO placed in t he Images folder and i changed the BCDW to include that as a boot option and when i am brought to the menu i just arrow down to SpinRite and it boots right up. Give that a try. Not exactly a plugin but i am sure someone here can give you all the steps needed to make it a plugin but this is the quick and dirty way to get it to work in under 20 seconds , all depending on how long it takes you to edit the BCDW lol
