This new version has MANY much needed major improvements and looks like it will be awesome. I'm in the process of combining it with the WinUBCD at the moment. Once I do and everything goes OK, I will update my guide to reflect any changes. The only thing that I see so far is the difference between the Basic and Full versions and the "new" menu/cdshell structure. In general though, there are many enhancements and updates to the UBCD. Go check it out HERE. biggrin.gif

Should have known something was up. I tried to check the site earlier today and it wouldn't connect. A lot of traffic, I really need to get it downloaded!!

Holy crap, finally got to the site and the new version is HUGE!!! Either of them. I really don't like "lite" and "full" versions as I always want everything possible, but I guess some people do. I can't wait to check it out!! Looks like I'm going to have to start kicking a little ass as the original is trying to catch up with us!! tongue.gif

All the full version has over the basic is the customized Knoppix boot CD. I've been working on it, combining it with the WinUBCD, and everything is good, except for the other Linux boot CD I had before now does not work because of the Knoppix one they included. I'm trying to find a way around this and haven't yet. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. smile.gif

Just having my first play with ubcd 3, the hdd utilities go on forever I didn't think I was ever going to get the wipe utilities.......

There seems to be a lot of tools on there now.

Very cool. smile.gif

Yeah, it's been out for a little while. I've created a combo CD with it. Slightly different setup for the menu screens than before.

Yes the original UBCD has evolved a lot since the first version. I have been using it since it started in July of 03. After a year and a half it is pretty awesome. I wish there were more Win based utilities out there so we could have more stuff in our proect!!

Yea, I know. I gotta update the Guide to reflect that here sometime... Been really busy lately though so not sure when. Glad you got it working though anyway. smile.gif

Thanks. Not too difficult. cool.gif

FYI for others: To change the menus the new menus are located under \boot\menus. The menus are saved in a .scn file format that can be opened and edited in notepad.

This seems to be the only major change in the UBCD format.
