Hi.
I'm new to 'live-windows' and have a question. Working as a musichan using my laptop live I'm always scared that it's not gonna boot at stage or to get some errors. My harddrive was replaced a couple of weeks ago and I dont want something to happen at stage.
A perfect solution 4 me would be to have a windows live-boot dvd with my livesetup, sounds, drivers installed. I dont need audio-SEQ like Cubase or so... Only need a slimmed windows with so few services as possible to save memmory and CPU.
Drivers:
-Asio4all
-M-Audio USB-Quattro (If possible)
-CME UF8-USB-driver
Software:
-Maize studio
-Independence free... (Yellowtools)
-Some VST that need no installation... Can be placed on USB-stick together with sounds for easy update)
-Jeskola Buzz
And some other small apps that can be used without installation.
Is it possible to create this kind of Boot-CD? Then I dont even have to rely on my laptop so I can take the second laptop if i want...
Can anyone give me some tips on how to build it?
TNX. /M

Hi Bengt. (Hej...).
Tested Musix and its realy good but... There is a few things why I don't like it as live-system. I like it as a studiosetup but I have a lot of good VST-instruments that I want to use...
-I need to use SFZ from RGC. The best free SF2-player ever! Linux does not play SF2 right.
-I need Organized trio (VST).
I like Maize and buzz and Polac VST-loader caus it has great funktions for making a modular synth that I dont have in Linux. (ALSA mod synth...)
Tanx for the reply. (Tack!)

Varsågod, det var så lite, glad att kunna hjälpa...
UBCD4Win does not currently have sound (it is primarily designed to work as a pc rescue and recovery system)
you'll need to find appropriate plugins (floating around, Google for it, have a look at the 911 cd forum, and Reatogo)
that you can adapt to your system
and then make plugins for all the rest of software you want to have included
once you have done that, it should work as you want...
could you please find and post links to the specific softwares you want to have plugins for?
there might be others interest in the subject and perhaps someone with a lot of time on there
hand will go a head and make plugins...
