Search Inf

http://rapidshare.com/files/75729593/SearchInf1.00.rar.html

Features "Search Inf" program
=============================
1. Select a folder and find all inf files into this folder.
(Subfolders included)
Double click on a "Inf files" List item opens this inf file.

2. Creates List into text file with informations for each inf File:
a) Filename inf file
cool.gifEnabled/disabled as (Yes) or (No )
c) Path inf file
d) Name of plugin (from Name="" inf file command)
files type: *_All.txt

3. Creates List into text file with informations:
a) Filename inf file
cool.gifEnabled/disabled as (Yes) or (No )
files type: *_Act.txt
Optionally two lists separately: one for enabled only inf files and
one for disabled only inf files.
files type: *_ActYes.txt and *_ActNo.txt

4. Compare two lists of the paragraph "3." and the result saved
into Compare.log file.

So with a snapshot for all inf files, easy you can find if the inf
file action has changed due to a mistake, if you have an older
snapshot and compare the two snapshots.

All filenames that create the program based on searched folder name.

I tested this, nice
above the "Compare" button I cannot read the text on the middle radio button,
the text is compressed

please make one for xml-files so it is possible to quickly compare menu entries within the same category
like all Anti-Spyware or Applications and so on

Above the "Compare" button there are three Option buttons for the compare type.
These option buttons define to compare the same file category.
The option button captions are file types no any name.

The upper option button select compare for *_Act.txt files (for example: plugin_Act.txt file)
the midle button for *_ActYes.txt files (for example: plugin_ActYes.txt file)
and the bottom for *_ActNo.txt files (for example: plugin_ActNo.txt file)

There are three file types:
the first type includes all inf files (enabled and disabled) => general type: Folder_Act.txt
the second type includes only enabled inf files => general type: Folder_ActYes.txt
the third type includes only disabled inf files => general type: Folder_ActNo.txt

-------------------------------------------------------------------
Now i will make the space for Option button caption larger in source and upload again.
-------------------------------------------------------------------

For xml files the things are complicated.
In inf files there are stantard words (name=, enable=) once.
In xml files repeat the same commands with only difference the menu choices or .exe files,
and these are not steady.
At any rate i will attemp but i can't predetermine the result.
I am not a programmer, i have learned programming myself.
If i find the solution i will report it at the forum.

benqt i thinked better.
(i have a difficulty to couch in english)
Because the menu language is very exemption, for example
one space or more spaces are the same, the enter and line feed
are without implication, the compare two such files is problem.
Two files writen with different way maybe are same.
Therefore the compare two really same files but otherwise writen,
has a false result.
So is better a program for syntax examination instead compare.
However for this reason there is the internet explorer.

A method for compare is to convert whole the file at one string.
So you save all xml files into one file and then with a new
snapshot, see if there are differences. Then the file size is
equal with all xml files total size. If has changed even a space or
other character the compare indicate otherness.
If you mean this, is very easy. Say me to know.

Sorry for my English.

Finaly i created a program for searching and compare XML menu files

Works like to SEarchInf program and has the same look.
Program saves all xml menu files into one file.
The program ignores changes for multiple spaces or tab characters.
So if there are only source code differences the program
represent the two files as files with differences.

CompareXML:
http://rapidshare.com/files/76056774/CompareXML1.00.rar.html

As creating the CompareXML program i discovered a small bug
for SEarchInf program:

If the Compare List contain selected files and click on "All Info"
or "Name+Action" button, then added the new file in Compare List
But the selected files no more highlight while remain selected.
This bug fixed.
