Can anyone tell me how hard it is to swap a laptop hdd.

It's a Dell Inspiron 510m and somebody want's to swap the 40gb hdd that's installed for a larger one, poss 80gb/100gb

How hard is this to do? Will the laptop mobo see the larger drive?

Has anybody got any tips/advice thanks.
