I see from "Version 3.10 Changes -Released:11/25/07" that HiJackThis has been removed from UBCD4WIN v3.10 -

Why was this?
Can I just add it back in using the plugin from UBCD4WIN v3.06?

i added it back in but it doesn't show in the list of antispyware tools... what am i doing wrong? i created a folder and copied the file into c:\ubcd4win\plugin\antispyware\hijackthis

That is not enough !
You also need hijackthis.inf,hijackthis_nu2menu.xml,hijackScan.CMD !!!
Copy all files from an older ubcd4win version, or wait a few days for next ubcd4win version.
