NEW!!! How to update the AV Defs/Malware Tools for V3.12 Updated 03/04/08 Now updates piriform tools as well

    So is Updatetools not necessary anymore for the newer version 3.50? The link above for the update tools is broken, so I can't run the pluginupdater/ubcd4winupdater.bat files as I don't have them.


    What am I losing by not running the updater bat files? I can still run the config-update apparently.. but.. it's not clear to me what the difference is.

      You don't "miss" anything... its just a different method and hasn't been updated for the later releases by the author. This is not unusual considering the thread is from a year ago.

        I've just not had time to update the script.

        I'll try and have a go next week but I can't promise anything!!!

          Whats the best method for updating the Virus/Malware definitions considering links aren't working to the pluginupdater.dat?
