Hi guys, my first post.

I've managed run the .exe but I get 2 errors when trying to create the iso

DecompressOrCopy file "C:\DellXPCD\WINXPSP1A_US (H)\I386\FLTMGR.SYS" to "C:\UBCD4Win\BartPE\I386\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\FLTMGR.SYS"
Error: SetupDecompressOrCopyFile() "C:\DellXPCD\WINXPSP1A_US (H)\I386\FLTMGR.SYS" to "C:\UBCD4Win\BartPE\I386\SYSTEM32\DRIVERS\FLTMGR.SYS" 2: The system cannot find the file specified.

Am using XP PRO SP1a and followed the disable/enable instruction. Tried in safe mode with the same result. I then tried the Dell procedure and am now where I am. Hope you can help.

Does XP SP1 contain file fltmgr.sys?

Try slipstream SP2 or SP3.

XP SP1a does not contain that file. Where should I get this file and where should I put it?

I slipstreamed with SP2 but the image is now bigger than the blank CD. What can I do with this?

XP SP2 does contain fltmgr.sys.
Disable plugin "driver: AccessGain MiniFilter Driver" at SP1.

Did you add plugins? Disable some plugin or write to DVD.

you need to slipstream SP2 into your source dir. not your build dir.

you can easily do this by using the slipstream feature of UBCD4WinBuilder.exe. Look under the "source" menu and choose slipstream. it should be self explanatory and only needs to be done once.

Brilliant! Thanks for everyones help, especially cdob. Disabling the plugin removed the erros and am currently booting from disc. Happy days, I may get some sleep tonight. On to won't start in safe mode...
