WARNING: This is a public trial for an experamental patch system.
We found this wonderfull program called "Clickteam Patchmaker" which will make frequent updates
much easier to release, maintain and is "Dialup Frendly", meaning that the patches can be very small.

EXPIRATION DATE PATCH FOR UBCD4WIN VERSION 3.03

This patch takes care of the following:
    • Prelogon Expiration Date Fix.
    • Eventlog not capturing system events fixed.
    • Goback Tool RunOnce entry fixed.
    • Default System Font changed to Tahoma.
    • autobuild.cmd - added "EnableExtensions" bug fix.
    Grab it from HERE.

Download the patch and run it. Direct it to the same folder you have extracted UBCD4WIN 303.

NOTE: This patch has not been tested by anyone other then myself, and SHOULD BE FREE OF ERRORS, but mistakes can happen so use at your own risk. Do not use any of our software packages on any "Mission Critical" Computer Systems (Hostpital, Military..ect.)

With the large number of posts regarding the expiration date problem, I see no reason to wait any longer to use this new approach to updates. I've been testing this program for about a week and it's really cool and does a great job. The version used in this test is a freeware version of ClickTeam Patchmaker where the only limitation is a "NAG" screen at the very end of the install process that is an advertisment for program's home page. Please test this program and tell us if you think it is worth the $59 they are charging for it. I really believe that this will make future updates very easy for us and allow for quick bug fixes, rather than us having to explain the same thing over and over and over. Programs like this are only one way that we use the money donated each month so a big THANK YOU goes out to anyone who has donated in the past.

BTW: We are working on some corrections for the new OEM RAMDISK that the users here have paid for. We still need to work out a few bugs and are in the process of finishing the next release of UBCD4WIN so please be patient. Delays always seem to happen when all the developers are working on complex issues or programs on our own time and we all have real jobs, families and lives to live.

Hopefully the new version should be out within 2 weeks, but there is no promise on when it will actually be finished.

    THANX & ENJOY

Just to let everyone know I finally updated a few pages on the site for this patch.

The version history page is updated and more news is posted on the "news" page.

I would though really appreciate some feedback on the "downloads" page. I don't know if any of you paid much attention to the layout before, but really I didn't change too much. I just want to make sure it looks ok and that people will be able to notice the additional information. Hmmm, probably should have bolded it all and changed the text color to red!! Anyways.

I also edited the above post to change the cost of the license. We thought it was $79, when in fact it is only $59.
