  2. Dead Hdd

    Hi, I've toasted my HDD logic board (I think) the HDD refuses to spin. Any other HDD I have runs just fine on the same cable.
    I have checked the logic board and there are no visual signs of any short circuit or burns and I've opened the HDD case and examined its "guts" and no signs of shorts there either. I suspect it to be toasted anyway, any other ideas? The discs turns without resistance, the "arm" is mobile.

    What I need is to find a new (old) logic board with the exact same specs. for this drive to attempt a rescue of the data and I wonder if someone can point me to a possible vendor?
