my laptop decided to go haywire. someone pointed me towards this software. i followed the EXACT directions on the build page, even using the specified CD burning program. when i popped the CD into my laptop, it recognized that it was a bootable CD, but then it just says "Boot CD-ROM type: Non-Emulation Booting" and stops. thats all it does. after a few minutes it goes to a blinking cursor.

did i do something wrong, or does my computer just hate me?

It sounds like you made the ISO OK but that you possibly burned it wrong, but I can't be sure. Please post exactly what you did and what OS you built it on as well as what version and SP of XP you used. Thanks. (IMG:http://www.ubcd4win.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

When you're building the project, try letting PE Builder burn the CD for you (this option can be enabled at the bottom of the main window).

If you're using a CD-RW then this could be the problem, try using a CDR instead. My old laptop could boot CDR's just fine but would just hang at a blinking curser forever when trying to boot any CD-RW.
