So, I've been trying to reformat my PC (for reasons of performance like I have in the past). OS XP. After booting to CD, shortly after the volume driver is being installed in setup, I get this error: "the file partmgr.sys is corrupt, error 47872 line 5882 at d: \xpclient\base\boot\setup\setup.c." It then prompts me to press any key to reboot. What the freak do I do?
I'm just so furious. I've gone through the trouble of backing up EVERYTHING. Please, please, please give me any suggestions! I've posted on like... 5 forums already, haha. No response. This post has been edited by jsudekum: Oct 17 2007, 02:34 AM |
