any one know anything about bootable iso's over 4gb. At 4gb my iso boots fine. at 5gbs no operating system is found. so if I add a file or bunch of files that pushes the iso size over 4gb, it no longer boots. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Not completely sure here, but you'd need a optical drive and BIOS capable of booting from a dual-layer DVD (or a Blu-Ray DVD I guess). Never really tried anything over 4GB myself so I don't have any experience. I hope someone else can help. :)

File order is importand at big images. Bootable 8gb is possible.
Setupldr.bin acess first 4 GB only. Early boot devices has to be below first 4gb.

Create a folder c:\add\ZZZ. add a file or bunch of files c:\add\ZZZ.
At PEBuilder add custom folder c:\add.
That way ZZZ goes at end of media.

If need be you can add a single file greater 4gb too, e.g. a single file at a Blu-Ray.
        Update mkisofs.

Yes, I'm sure. It's about 4 gigs, not 2 gigs.
Maybe 4 gigs less one or two sectors (2048 byte). I don't recall anymore.

I'm new to BartPE and have hit a roadblock at only 511meg.
I'm running BartPE with the XPE plugin and using pe2usb.
BartPE boots and runs off my flash drive just fine. Until my image gets above 511 meg.
The Bart build goes ok, pe2usb goes ok, but when booting same flash drive I get a RAMdrive error and it crashes.
But only when my image is above 511 meg. I trim my image back down a bit and everything boots and works ok.
I think Bart's RAMdisk has a limit at 511 meg. Anyone else seen that? Or know that to be true? Thanks.

BTW. I installed the RAM disk auto-resizer plugin, no help.

This uses ISO RAM loading. Yes, there is a 512mb size limit.
