When I decided to buy a CD, I came to know that there is no Ready-to-go CD, how ever I have decided to donate to the site.

Start from scratch. Delete all the contents of your folders and extract the contents of all the downloaded files in this order.

pebuilder313.zip
ubcd4win
ubcd4win drivers

If you are asked to overwrite any files say yes.

Also copy across the contents of your slipstreamed CD to the hdd again.

Something may have got corrupted in the extraction process.

Please post back if this fails to work and we'll hopefully suggest some more options.

Also, is your CD a XP SP1 CD from MS or did you slipstream it yourself? If so, how did you do it? Have you tried SP2 to see if that helps? First try what stidyup suggested, then see if my suggestions help. Thanks. smile.gif

Just to jump in here real quick.

1.) What language version of Windows XP are you using?

2.) Use this program to slipstream your CD.
steven
sorry for answering late, due to my work schedule and limited time, I was not able to post my response immediately, please to tolerate.

Iam using XP English Version

I tried with another XP English CD which has sp1a, it gives the same error.

I will try with the program you have mentioned and I will let you know the result at the earliest.

Thanks and please do continue your advise.
LittlBUGer
Did you copy the XP CD to your HD first and then point pebuilder there? Do you have any anti-virus or firewall or any similar software running in the background (which may be preventing pebuilder from doing its thing)? If the above doesn't work, try making the CD in Safe Mode. smile.gif
steven
Yes, First I copied XP CD in HDD and then I pointed PEBuilder.

I have McAfee 8 running at the back, I will try to Disable and continue the process,
I will let you know the result ASAP.

Thankyou
stidyup
Just to confirm you're not trying to use a Windows XP recovery CD are you?
steven
No, Iam not using Windows XP recovery CD.

I disabled AntiVirus Softwares which were running at the back, but no use.

Really I feel painfull to tell you that still Iam seeing the same 11 errors!

I wonder why it is telling that some files are missing, pls. take a look at the errors given below.

Error: CreateFile "C:\pebuilder313\BartPE\i386\inf\netmscli.inf" returned error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.Error: fopen "C:\pebuilder313\BartPE\i386\inf\netmscli.inf" returned error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.Error: delLine() failed
Error: doInfAppend() file="C:\pebuilder313\pebuilder.inf" failed
Processing OEM file "C:\pebuilder313\drivers\SCSIAdapter\LSI\ultra320_int\txtsetup.oem"
SCSI hwID "SYMMPI_XP32", component "LSI Logic Ultra320 1020/1030 Driver (XP 32-bit)"
Error: CreateFile "C:\pebuilder313\BartPE\i386\txtsetup.sif" returned error 2: The system cannot find the file specified.

Thankyou dear all for your kind support so for, pls do all so continue your advise to figure out the solution.

I'm not sure "steven" understood the question about using an XP recovery CD to build the slipstreamed CD. I have an XP "recovery CD" from Dell that has SP1a. This has patches applied that will not allow slipstreaming from the command line, but Autostreamer will happily seem to slip without error. The end product is not slipstreamed by Autostreamer. What you get is a CD with SP1a and some files rearranged/replaced, but no SP2. I have, admittedly, tried this myself several times in vain with the same result. OEM recovery CD's from the major manufacturers will not slip with patches applied. I bought my Dell 4600 in May 04 (Dell Reinstallation CD P/N R2352).

BTW, I contacted Dell via email support for an updated CD with SP2 and I was directed to the download link at microsoft.com for SP2. Perhaps I should have said the CD was missing when my system was shipped?

I believe this is the gentleman's problem. I'm sure the very clear instructions for building UBCD4Win are being followed to the letter. What is required is a retail version of XP. Current off the shelf versions should have SP2 applied. It wouldn't hurt to search ebay, pricegrabber, or pricewatch.

Note the SKU!!!!

Volume licensed OEM is the way to go, check pricewatch once you have the proper SKU for the version you want.

It's also possible the original media could be scratched. Just a thought....

SteelTrepid: I I have deleted all the old directories, I will send the log file ASAP., Give me some more time pls.

dirkgently42: Iam using Volume licensed OEM WinXP SP1a built, which was not shipped with the system, I did not try SP2 yet.......

Thankyou all

Since you have a slow connection try ordering the free sp2 cd from microsoft.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloa...us/default.mspx

It seems to have had a better track record than the download anyway.

The downloaded version of SP2 should be the full network installer.

Could it be that you are using an updgrade XP install CD? This should not be a problem, but it's a possibility. There are so many versions available including those for academics.

I have a volume licensed OEM XP PRo (FULL) install CD dated Oct 01 with the product key/(SKU) E85-01172. I believe this is just the GOLD release that has no service packs applied. This slipstreamed to SP2 AOK and I have successfully built several UBCD4Win CD's using it.
steven
Thankyou, I will try as per your advise as ASAP and let you know the result.

Did anyone consider the protected system files? This can affect copying the XP CD.

SUMMARY
Files and folders with the System and Hidden attributes are by default hidden in the graphical user interface (GUI) in Windows 2000. This behavior was implemented to simplify the GUI and to protect some operating system files.

MORE INFORMATION
To view protected operating system files: 1. Double-click My Computer.
2. On the Tools menu, click Folder Options.
3. Click the View tab.
4. Click to clear the Hide protected operating system files check box.
5. Click Yes when you are prompted to confirm your choice.

NOTE: Because protected operating system files have both the System and Hidden attributes, the Show hidden files and folders option must be selected to view these files and folders.
6. Click OK.
Note that even if files and folders are hidden in the GUI, you can still gain access to them at a command prompt.

Yes, I considered the protected system files, this was my step before I started creating iso file.
