    VIPRE Rescue Scanner Plugin V1.0
    The VIPRE Rescue Scanner plugin was written by Joshua.
    It supports building and/or updating of the Sunbelt VIPRE PC Rescue Program product.

    You must first enable the plugin to be able to use it.
    To enable it, run PE Builder, click the Plugins button, highlight: Anti-Spyware: VIPRE Rescue Scanner <CONFIG- to update>
    Click the Configure button and follow the instructions.
    It will then update from the internet.

        @Joshua,

        get_update.cmd tries to download to the "files" directory but that directory doesn't exist in your plugin. I manually created a files folder and it's now downloading.
        If you're afraid of taking any chances then the chances are great that you will never learn anything

          I can't reproduce this! :surrender:

            I don't have winrar so I used UniExtract to extract it, maybe that's why the "files" directory didn't get created?

            EDIT* I just opened the archive with IZArc and the files folder wasn't there.

                      As a temporary solution here the new get_update.cmd : :P

                      Quote

                      :: VIPRE Rescue Scanner Update CMD

                      @echo off

                      :: rem Change current drive and path to where the CMD script is located

                      cd ..

                        I found the problem. When I went to build I realized that the xml file was missing too so I downloaded the plugin again and noticed that it was 132k instead of 111k that the original one was so then I opened it and saw that both the files folder and xml file were there so I'm guessing that it was just a corrupt/incomplete download! Thanks for the plugin and sorry for the confusion!!!

                        BTW. Here's the MD5 hash of my good download: 86B025FAEBA62D51FB28D063EAB67686 Vipre-PC-Rescue.rar

                              Joshua,

                              When booting from CD-ROM, Vipre live update fails here (insufficient disk space error). I have FBWF cache maxed out at 128MB ... do you think allowing a larger cache, say 160MB or more, might solve the problem, or is it more likely that I have misconfigured something?

                              Thanks for a great plugin -- it works perfectly except the live update. The PE Builder (pre-build) update works fine.

                              I have not tried a UBUSB build with VIPRE yet.
                              Blessings,

                              - Papagresh

                                The Vipre filespace needed is very large ( 350 Mb+ ) and will only get larger over time as new definitions are added. So unless there are lost or deleted files that need recovered, I believe its best to actually select the hard drive as the location for the Vipre files instead.
