    Hello all (especially development team). I want to create a list here of the current working UBCD4Win V3 plugins that we have (especially ones that work with the menu properly). I want to add all of them to my downloads site in a new plugin section just so there's another place to get them and that so they don't get lost in older posts here in the forums. If anyone has time to help, please post the plugins here (either text or better yet, a link to download it at) and I will get them up as soon as I can. Thank you. :-)

    Also, please remember to include any special instructions with the plugin as well as possibly a link to the software/company's website it's incorporating. Thanks.

    Extra Plugins List for V 3.x of the UBCD4Win:

    Last Revised: 12-21-06 They are all now added to my site. Thanks. :)

      Grab a copy of my latest help file I created... it lists the plugin and links to the websites also. It doesn't contain any version info but it should be a good start.

        No, I don't want the ones already included with the UBCD4Win, I mean extra add-on ones that aren't included, like the Knoppix for multiboot or Ghost 8, etc. :)Thanks though.

          Only plugins that I add every build are Ghost 8, EasyRecovery, Total Commander, and WinRAR. I believe that they all came from the vanilla BartPE back in the day otherwise I found them on the net. If you want any of those, please let me know and I will provide a download link for you to snag them minus the files that can't be shared of course. ;-)

              Yes, that would be nice, though I would prefer plugins that work with our menu structure, meaning they work right "out of the box" so-to-speak. :)I'm lazy so I don't have time to edit them all myself, lol.

                Hmmm, isn't that concept already supposed to be in place with the "plugin repository" area of the forum?? I voiced several months ago that I wanted to do this on the site also to help the users of the project. Oh well.

                  Non of mine have been edited to place in the "proper locations" yet. I A) do not know how and B)have not experimented with that. I generally also like them to be in the root apps menu anyways for easy locating when i am fixing the machine anyways. I will try to clean them out and place them on my FTP and PM you a login for it.

                    Yes you are correct Ben, but with many plugins coming out, it sometimes gets confusing to which works for what version of the UBCD4Win while also forcing the user to click through many different topics just to find and download them all (if they wanted them all). I just wanted to provide a different location where all of the extra plugins can be listed for easy downloading access, but if you do not want this (and want people to come here instead) then that's fine. No problem either way. :)

                    Thanks.

                      GParted version 025-3 for multiboot (it will NOT work with earlier versions and may not work with later versions)

                      Quote

                      GParted is an industrial-strength package for creating, destroying, resizing, checking and copying partitions, and the file systems on them. This is useful for creating space for new operating systems, reorganizing disk usage, copying data residing on hard disks and mirroring one partition with another (disk imaging).

                      Download the plugin from HERE (59kb) and extract it to your multiboot-003 directory (it will automatically create a gparted subdirectory) then download gparted.iso (around 30mb) and place it in the multiboot-003\gparted\files directory and click the "Config" button from the UBCD4Win builder plugin screen to extract the iso and have the files put in place.

                      Now you're all set to rebuild UBCD4Win and select GParted from the boot menu

                      @LittlBUGer
                      I think it's a great idea that you're going to mirror all these plugins so there will always be atleast 2 copies in 2 seperate locations but I think having an organized way to browse them is the best part. Would it be possible to let the users be able to choose whether they want to browse/list them alphabetically, by category or by UBCD4Win version that they're designed for?

                      One more thing... If there's an existing announcement or support thread here on the forums, it might be a good idea to provide a link to it.

                      For Example.

                      See HERE for more information.

                        @pcuser

                        That's exactly my thoughts. Just as you posted there, I would like to have all of the plugins listed here, but possibly just providing a link to the forum topic with that information (instead of re-posting the same info) would be a little neater here. I'll probably end up editing my first post with all of the links in a list anyway. Maybe we should always keep a pinned topic in the plugins area of the forum per major UBCD4Win release and list all extra plugins there? Probably a good idea whether I host them or not.

                        As for putting them on my site, yes I would include information there in the description which would more or less be a copy of what's posted here in the plugin topic as well as provide a link back to the topic where the plugin resides. Otherwise I would post whatever information I could and provide a link to where I originally got the plugin if possible. On my site, you can sort by Date, Author, Name, # Downloads either Asc. or Desc.. I can put them in different plugin categories (though I would prefer not to) though you wouldn't be able to sort the categories (I can sort them a specific way in the admin CP though). As for sorting by UBCD4Win version, not sure how to go about that other than just by creating a sub-category in the main plugin category referencing that the plugins in that category are for whatever UBCD4Win version. Thus I could have several plugin sub-categories, one for each major release of the UBCD4Win (where the setup of the plugin would change dramatically) and I could "hard sort" it with the latest version at the top.

                        How does that sound? Does that work? :)

                        Update: I'm thinking that I could also do something similar like this with other things related to the UBCD4Win, such as with the Config Tool and other extra things (unless they don't stay "extra" of course), but that's all up to you guys. :)

                              I edited my first post with the list thus far. :)

                              Any others?

                                I had previously tried the Helix plugin and things built fine and when I booted, it started to bootup ok, but then eventually gave a message that it couldn't find system files and stopped. Has anyone else tried this plugin and ran into a similiar problem? I had posted in the original thread about this but I assume nobody else had tried it yet which is why there was no reply.
